WELCOME TO THE DIAMOND AGE

What Is a Diamond?

A diamond is a crystal made entirely of carbon atoms arranged in an extremely strong three-dimensional structure known as a crystal lattice.

This unique atomic arrangement is what gives diamonds their extraordinary properties:

  • Exceptional brilliance and light performance
  • Incredible hardness and durability
  • Optical clarity and sparkle
  • Resistance to scratching and wear

The Carbon Crystal Structure

At the atomic level, each carbon atom in a diamond bonds tightly with four surrounding carbon atoms. This repeating structure creates the remarkable strength and stability diamonds are known for.

Because lab-grown and mined diamonds share the exact same crystal structure, they possess the same:

  • Chemical composition
  • Physical properties
  • Optical performance
  • Durability

They are both real diamonds.

The distinction lies only in how the crystal was formed.

How Lab-Grown Diamonds Are Created

Lab-grown diamonds are created using advanced technology that replicates the same conditions under which diamonds naturally form (heat and pressure).

The two primary methods are HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition).

Both methods produce genuine diamonds with the same atomic structure as mined diamonds.

Rather than being formed underground over geological time, these diamonds are grown in carefully controlled environments using modern engineering and precision technology.

The result is a real diamond with the same brilliance, hardness, and beauty people have admired for generations.

Why Lab-Grown Diamonds Cost Less

The difference in price is not due to the difference in authenticity or durability.

Lab-grown diamonds are generally more accessible because of:

  • Modern production methods
  • Increased supply efficiency
  • Reduced mining and transportation costs

This allows many buyers to select larger sizes or higher color and clarity grades while maintaining the quality standards they value.

For modern customers, lab-grown diamonds represent an intentional balance of luxury, craftsmanship, and value.

Diamond Certification & Grading

Like mined diamonds, lab-grown diamonds can be independently graded and certified by respected gemological laboratories such as the International Gemological Institute (IGI).

Certification evaluates the diamond's:

Cut

Color

Clarity

Carat Weight

Many certified diamonds also include a microscopic laser inscription that corresponds to the grading report. This provides transparency and confidence in the quality of the stone being purchased.

Designed to Last

Diamonds are one of the most durable materials used in fine jewelry, making them suitable for everyday wear and lasting heirloom pieces.

With proper care, both mined and lab-grown diamonds can retain their beauty for generations.

At Adamas Aion, we believe modern luxury should combine timeless beauty with thoughtful craftsmanship, transparency, and education—helping customers make informed decisions with confidence.
